Knocking noise

Hi i have gaz coilovers on my 172 but it has developed a knocking noise from the drivers side also when i turn at low speeds i can hear a clunking it does this 3 times once goin lOck to lock . Thered no play in the wheel left or right anyone got any ideas

I'd say strut top bearings. I had the same symptoms when I had my coilovers on and when I checked one side (the noisy side) had completely collapsed! They're not expensive to replace, just a pain having to remove the strut again! Got mine from eurocarparts.
