Knocking on acceleration/braking...

Rob

Hoped it would just the balljoint bolts being loose, but it's not.

I can replicate the knocking by grabbing the wheel at 12 and 6, there's a fair bit of movement.... top mounts?

Movement at the bottom or top?
Could be top mounts or even the shocks, need to see where the play/movement comes from...

Is there movement at 3 and 9 too?

Nothing at 3 and 9, balljoints are pretty damn new, as are track rod ends.

I can literally get the wheel at 6 and 12 and clunk it back and forth by hand though.

Ffs i've just seen this thread too! So what you're saying is you can grab the wheel towards you?

Right to me that sounds like wheel bearing failure, but by wobble do you mean the hand at 12 can push forward and the hand at 6 can be pulled towards you and visa versa or can both hand be pulled back and forth simultaneously(sp?)

It rocks back and forth on the 6 and 12, not coming all the way in and out and both sides.

Danny (or employee (sorry I can't remember your name)) why would my coilies be dead?? Not like they're cheap nasty ones.

Potholes? just old generally? Price isn't really a factor in reliability to be honest, I see more buggered H&R's than anything else and they're £££

LOL.

I hope that it's just this bearing, but if it's not, I hope it's this bearing and a dodgy shaft. I refuse to stump up more pointless f**king £££ for coilovers I don't want or need.
