Lacquered black trim?

I know a few people have sprayed their grills black again but what are your thoughts on lacquering the black trim around the car? (fog surrounds, mirror surrounds, bumper inserts etc) either after being sprayed black or left normal...

I was thinking there it'd be a hell of a lot easier to clean rather than having to watch out for the plastic then clean it separately.

If this is a stupid idea then fair dos, I did a search and nothing came up so sorry if reposted

Fair dos, thanks though... If it's done properly I.e smoothed, primered, painted and lacquered would it not last?

I've used halfords satin black (no laquer obviously) and polish doesn't Mark it! Rubs straight off mate
