Lap top problems??

Brought my wife a acer laptop from pc world at xmas, was fine untill the mouse pad on it starting over heating took it back, cut a long story short got our money back. She then got a (philips freevents x59p), had it 3 months, the mouse pad is sliver but now has a big white patch on it about the size of a finger print?? Should i take it back or does this happen to laptops?

If its just cosmetic from general usage then no, im pretty sure they will not be able to anything about it.

I think that would be classed as wear and tear, if the mouse pad still works then im fairly sure they won't have to do anything about it.

TAKE IT BACK ,dont ask you dont get,if more people complained to companies then they might make better quality products in the first place.
