yes i know, its not a superduper new sports bike, but so what, i actually use my bikes in all weathers so i dont care.

picked this up two weeks ago to replace my thundercat that was written off by a t**t in a lorry in october

again, its a yamaha, my third, but im not a fan of the bike in all honesty, strange riding position for me, so getting rid. only reason i got it was because i got it for a great price, with only 7k on the clocks and 1 owner

saying that, ive done 1500 miles on it already.....

600 or a thou?

I thought these were detuned R6 and R1 engines respectively, and got good reviews when they came out? Having said that, whats good to one isnt always good to another. I like it.

Whats up with the position? Is it footpegs, or bar etc

highly rated these for what they are.

always fancied a fazer thou,bit better riding position if anything in all this traffic ect we have nowadays.
ive loved my sports bikes but actualy miss most my yam xjr1300cc,brill bike for every day use.
id still like an early 1200 bandit just for blasting to the coast on ect.

yeh its the 6. its not a detuned r6 lump, well, some of it is, but it has a completley different top end. my thundercat was a detuned R6.

footpegs are alreet, its the bars, theyre just in a weird angle, tried adjusting them to no avail.

theyre meant to be brilliant, but i just cant see it myself.

no where near as comfy as my old bandit6, or even my divvy6!

Ah ok, so detuned by changing a big part of the engine lol

I must admit the Bandits always appealed to me when younger, and the bandit 12s were supposedly wheelie machines.

How easy is it to change bars on one of these?

very easy,i was just going to suggest fitting renthals on it.
have a look on demon tweeks bike section mate,theyre not dear.

thought about it, but just gonna sell it instead, it aint got enough power really either, so trying to persuade my dad to let me buy his hayabusa sat in my garage.....

lol,now they DO have enough power!!!
my mrs loves them and is always pestering me to get one.
im liking the kawasaki 1400 more at the moment though.
missed out on a mint black honda blackbird with twin akra cans a few weeks back,
only went for a grand,low miles and fhsh too.
old chap had scared himself to death on it after a long lay off,and just wanted shut.
missed it by an hour ffs.
the fazer should sell easy enough bud,in good demand with loadsa folk passing their direct access each summer.

Swaped my bandit for a z750 also just done 1k miles on mine and love the thing million times better then my bandit

Never rode a yam apart from an xj6

love bandits,the original mk1,proper hooligan/wheelie tool.sound ace too.
like the gsx1400 as well,huge beast.
these kind of bikes are the way forward now,plenty fast enough,and dont tempt you to kill yourself banzai style like the crotch rockets.
