Thought I'd do a little update on this thing..

So, I sold the car back in February to a neighbour who was restoring his EK9 at the time and wanted a daily. This wasn't really being used as I was too busy enjoying my TT at the time so I let it go.

I hated seeing it parked on the street every day so offered to buy it back, in July he finally agreed so I handed over the pennies and off I went.

Made a few changes as I intended on doing a few trackdays and some driving trips over the summer.

Added some DS2500's and braided lines with the usual HC discs, some fresh Goodyear Eagle F1 AS2's plus a pair of Sparco REV seats with OMP harnesses, steering wheel and XLow frames. Ripped the rear seats out and chucked a carpeted rear in to tidy it up a bit.

Had a slight knocking from the steering rack so I replaced that with a refurbished unit, along with new OEM rack bushes and did the inner and outer front ARB bushes too.

Quick service, some handbrake cables, new Xenon bulbs and a wash and it was good to go..

Did a 3 day trip covering 600 miles across Wales with a few mates. Visited the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains, Eden Valley, EVO triangle, Snowdonia national park and finally up to Angelsey.

Did a trackday at Angelsey to follow, which again was very wet. Spent most the day on opposite lock, looking out the passenger window with sea spray in my eyes. Great weekend!

Winter approaching, I decided I'd use it as a daily this year so ditched the buckets and replaced the interior for the next few months. Gave it a wash with a dirty rag and that's about it for now.

You sure know how to make a car look mint again, love the work you've done on the car bring it up to scratch. Went to Brecon in May and loved it in the 197 even though it hammered it down all weekend. Will take the GP next year but still yearn for a Clio again.
