LCD: Optimal screensaver settings...

bypass screen saver and go straight to stand by

as s/savers are for crt's

i've got mine set to 30 mins but i just switch it off as i get up from the desk anyway

Cheers Dink, I remember when the first generation of LCD screens came-out.

I ordered some for the POS machines at work, and they all had images burnt-in to the LCD - can this happen with modern screens?

Oms. :)

Wow that was weird, I was just about to write exactly the same thing!

As Dink says, screensavers are for CRTs mainly, and are useless for lcd panels (except cosmetic)

I have mine set to 10 minute standby but like Dink, I also hit power when I get up from my desk out of habbit.

We have Dell ones at work and loads have the background on the screen burnt in and there quite new ones too.

Cheers WT.

I'm very pleased with it so far...

No dead pixels / FAR sharper than my old IIayma / FAR brighter than my old IIyama / FAR smaller than my old IIyama / FAR cheaper than my old IIyama.

So FAR so good! :p
