is it a legal requirement to have your rear number plate lit up at night, when you have your sidelight, or headlights on?

is there any way round it? cos i want to smooth the little recess on the rear bumper, but that will do away with the lights!

Have it back lit? Might look sh*t though.

Fit some lights on the numper plate? Wire them in and off you go to smooth your rear bumper

Yes, so if you have an accident and try to fck off, you plate can be read by monsieur Joseph Public

You can get the metal things with leds in them that shine out across the plate, Im sure! Then you use those to fix the plate to the bumper, though its not smooth smooth, just smooth with a couple of sticky out metal bits lol
