Light sources to show swirl marks up?

Car  Italian 3.2 V6
Ok so the sun ain't out ATM, ino about the cheaper DIY sungun crack but is there any other type of light which shows them up well? ..something I may have lying about already that I have not thought off?

Cheers, Piers.

Led etc are s**t.. Currently on with making a DIY one. yellow dave nice link! Bargains tbh.

DIY Sunguns are the dogs b****cks. It uses the same bulb as a £400 3M sungun!

I love mine, one of the cheapest, best detailing items i've purchased.

I still can't believe the price of the likes of a 3M one.. The profit margins must be huge as there isn't much to them and parts are cheap! ..especially in mass production!

Just made this DIY sungun for under £15!!!!!

Does it actually work? Looks like a bright torch to me. The secret with the cheap sun gun is the bulb.

I think it's a solax bulb used but your one sounds right mate. Superb. :)

This reminds me, I need to find my in-car charger for the Brinkman.

I burnt the mains cater out b 230V. Oops.

American tat.

Works a treat. Fingers crossed I'm detailing either a black s3 or flat red 147GTA tomorrow so will get pics of it in action ;)

Please do mate. My gloss black units were a great test for my one.

If you don't have a 110v transformer you will need to rewire to a 3pin plug and get a new lamp to receive 230v.
Still cheaper than buying the 230v version.

I see them on every site I walk on and they put out a good light, but never used one for detailing.

Up until now I've been using my £200 mountainbike light but in the process of doing the B&Q / sun gun copy as in the ebay link posted earlier.
