Lightened / balanced flywheel... Done!

  340i
Got the work done through Prima racing... They lightened the fly wheel and dynamically balanced it with the clutch assembly

They managed to take a touch over 1kg off the whole assembly :)

Anybody in the Midlands area I would recommend Prima, although they dont seem to be "mentioned" in the Renault scene any more? they where very busy when I popped over.

Just need to fit it all now...

I'd be interested if you do notice a difference.

Are there any negatives of having it done? Like a dodge idle

if your going to effort to have those components balanced you SHOULD do the flywheel aswell

Cost me £100 + vat

i am getting that done as well , just waiting till i get the other bits that i have listed , already got the flywheel sat in a box;)

Gains and loses revs more easily, so makes it more free reving, a bit like a decat does, but also means it maintains momentum less well, so for example going up a steep hill in the wrong gear would be more noticeable and have to change down sooner.

Nah no where near like that. Maybe on some cars but its not that drastic
