looking at buying 172

hi there i have looked at a 53 plate 172 with 35k,
two small problems i found but did to check as i am not familar with this engine.
when on tickover you can hear a buzzing in dash on further inspection noise is coming from air flow meter and does it when running or with ignition turned on.
second thing rear bumper is cracked on corner anyone have a idea what a new one will cost fitted and sprayed.

The buzzing is normal, it happens when switching ignition key, not starting the engine ? (i have it; posted about it and seems a lot of people have this buzz. Open the bonnet while ign.key is halfway and it's quite loud)

Check if its had its Cam belt done and the 36K major service. The cambelt needs done after 5 years and can cost a fair bit, the Aux belt gets done at 36K and most folk get them done at the same time. Mines an 02 just had its done cost £415 from a stealers, indies can be cheaper but its a big job and get at least a years warranty. Also check it has an alarm, locking wheel nuts, if not its an import and take off £250 ish for a Cat2-1 upgrade

Buzzing most likly the throttle body they all do to a bit.

A new bumper isn't cheap
