Looking at getting a new telly! 42"

Hiya boys and girls,

Right I am looking at getting a new telly. A couple of my friends have just got a Samsung 42" Plasma (Samsung PS42A456P) They got it for a cracking price of £500. Dixons do it for £494 but cant guarantee any further stock. Anyone know any any other good deals at the mo. Not really wanting to spend more than £500.

John Lewis are doing a good deal at mo £499 but they chuck in a free 5 year warranty! Out of Stock thou!! : (

The Panasonic 42PZ80 is a cracking little TV for the money...

I reviewed the 46in version myself a couple of months back - the PZ80 series offers great performance at a very reasonable price.

Of course if you can stretch to a Pioneer Kuro, you won't regret it

Although I think that the new Kuro range starts at 50in now, so you can save yourself the trouble of wanting one!
