Looking at getting another Sport.

  Corsas
Hi, I'm new to the forum. I owned a 172 Cup about 6 years ago, which was great fun to drive as you lot all know.

Now my issue is when I had mine it was under warrenty, and when it was warm it used to knock when pulling away hard, so I kept taking it back to Renault who seemed pretty clueless, and they never fixed it.

I'm now a Vauxhall man, and have a 20XE Corsa with throttle bodies, which I use for fast road and track days, which I broke on Friday again. :(

I've now been thinking I wouldn't mind another one, but the gearbox is my main worry because I'll want a Quaife diff, how do they hold up to being worked hard?

I'll also want to do a few other light mods, but keep it useable.

Some help would be nice, thank you.

That fault would have been engine mounts.

Not sure on the other questions, but someone else will know. Welcome too.

Yes that can help, though a few tweaks can help - new standard mounts, combined with polybushed dogbone mount (under the car) and the o/s enfine mount adjusted right (you can pull them backward and forward) helps massively - and much much cheaper than the uprated ones
