looking for a mint 172/182

Hey guys,

Im new to the site and having previously owned a mk5 zetec s which i sold yesterday, i am now looking for a mint condition 172/182 full fat, as standard as possible.

Got around 5k to spend but I must stress I have seen quite a few dogs over the last week or so, I am quite picky although realistic in the age of these cars, I plan to keep it for the next 4-5yrs, so am looking for one with sub 60k mileage, frsh, cambelt changed by renault and all the refinements i.e boot net, tyre weld, manuals, 2keys etc.

Also it has to be clear of the usual wheel melt and bonnet lip must be rust free, sills also rust free.

Dont mind a few stonechips here and there but nothing over the top, also dont mind if the alloys are a tad rough around the edges.

I realise im asking alot but if im spending upto 5k i want the car to be worth every penny and as near perfect as possible.

I live in Corby, Northants so if anyone knows of one for sale around that area i will gladly come for a viewing.

Pick your ideal colour ( I would go for RB) & find the best example

In terms of your budget 5k is perfect for a MINT 182- with a bit of change-

3k secures a mint 172 & around 6250-6400 if you were tempted by a Trophy..

Hi Mate,

I bought an absolutely mint 172 51 reg last Sept with 13k on for 3800, so there are def bargains around and mint 172/182s

cant wait to get one i have drove a few good ones belonging to mates 172s and 182s and i definately need one in my life now the zetec s is gone massive upgrade.
