Loose radiator

Filled up my screen wash today - bonnet catch stuck open so I had to remove & clean & now is fine,

but I noticed that my radiator is loose - moves back & forth (not up n down) about 10mm.

There are two brackets at the top which fix it to the T panel - the brackets have screws & nuts on but they just rattle in the oversize holes they are in.:S

There should be a minimal amount of movement as radiators normally sit in rubber gromits.

10mm does sound a bit excessive, but it should move..... if it was mounted solid it would crack the mounts due to the movement of the engine and water pipes (i.e. same basis as an exhaust rubber)

I imagine it expands quite a bit when it's hot.

No rubber grommets on mine - could of just perrished i guess.

The rubber grommets hold it in place so it doesnt move. Mine was a little loose and when I checked somehow it had slid out of one of the grommets.
