I've not got a spare, never got one with the car? Should I be taking some poppers into Renault with me? What kind of price is it?

apparently the key is not the issue, its the programming that will rape?

Key is only like 2o quid, but the programming of the key is the expensive bit, £120 and upwards usually.

And it will be usless as you cant recode a key over a code thats already installed AFAIK

I was quoted £150 for the new key and coding by Renault!!!

Renault quoted me £140
£100 for the key and then £40 for the coding...

So yes, bring plenty of lube!!

most renault garages should also ask for the V5, photo ID and a utility bill as proof of ownership. And yea you probably won't get much change from £150

I had a renault key cut and coded at my local key cutting shop for £75, that included him getting the key code for me as I'd lost it!!
