Lots of bad news today :(

To some it up as its all very long i basically have buckled alloy wheels which i have only had for a few weeks , a very badly misfiring engine with a tapping noise also coming from it and i am booked in to have my prospeed exhaust in just over a week !! looks like its going to be an expensive month . found out the extent of the misfiring today .. oh well just thought id share it that im pissed off .

nope no toxic fume light , no lights at all ....and with the wheels well i brought them a couple of weeks ago from here and well from the start they were making the car vibrate , i just put it down to balancing and when i went today to get it sorted they told me how one side weighed something silly and the other was the opposite .? completely buckled he said . they dont look it ! but s**t happens ...

Geordie, the 1.2's dont use the same pencil coils like the 1.6, they have a single coil and 4 HT leads.

nah he collected them from me hiself, but 1st time he put them on he didnt tighten the bolts and lost a few..

youd have to try pretty damn hard to buckle all your wheels like that and if you say they was vibrating from the start... well... leave you to work that one out

theres no point in even trying to think that or kicking up a fuss because i would never get anywhere sooo. i suppose the good that came out of it , is im now buying a brand new set ! ( that i cant afford lol ) .

Id get a second opinion from another tyre place first before u go buying a whole new set mate. Surely they can just have new weights fitted and theyl be fine. Go somewhere else first!

honestly i can bet my life on the fact they were not bent when he bought them, tbh im not so sure they are now,
i had them on my car for over week to make sure they ran ok before i sold them and they were fine.. i offered to fit them to his car before he made the journey home, im hardly likely to do that if they are buckled am i?

ive asked for this thread to be cleaned up,
kieren does not want or asked for a refund, this to me suggests he knows what ever happened happened in his car.

tbh, yes.

theres at least a thread a week on here about some member ripping someone else off. things not arriving etc.

cliosport used to be a really good place to buy/sell things, now tbh id only advise buying from people you know, or buy from people in your local area so you can go pick the items up in person.

nice one mate at least thats one thing. I'd say that the chances of all 4 wheels being buckled or even 2 is rare enough, thought about getting a second opinion incase its something else like an axle?!?

nah i havnt taken it anywhere else . the car ran fine on the old dynaimique wheels until i changed so i wouldnt of thought it would be the axles . ? it was kwik fit aswell that told me this . quite a well known company .

I was told my wheels were buckled on my old Saxo, took it somewhere else for a 2nd opinion and it was the balancing. The first place were just s**t.

sold the old ones ! and some news on the wheel front , £580 later after borrowing it from my nice dad i have just brought a brand new set of pro race 1.2's . coming either friday or monday .
