Lots of Menzerna questions!

Can someone offer me some advice on Menzerna Polish.

I am about to purchase the I4detailing DAS-6 kit with the below pad/polish combo.

Menzerna 135mm Compounding Pad - White
Menzerna 135mm Polishing Pad - Orange
Menzerna 135mm Finishing Pad - Yellow
Menzerna Power Finish PO 85 RD 3.02 - 250ml
Menzerna Final Finish PO 85 RE 5 - 250ml

The main car Ill be using it on is a 2003 Renault Clio Sport and the above kit is listed as "For Hard Paint".

Am I better off buying this kit and a less abrasive polish as well to give me a "Full range" of polish options or to simply purchase the I4detailing kit for Soft paint?

Also if its a good idea to get a less abrasive polish which Menzerna polish should i get to compliment the above kit?

I presume the pad "Harshness" (Less to most) is Yellow - Orange - White is this correct?

And Final Finish is less abrasive than power Finish?

And the Final question...... The Numbers and letters after the polish name eg: Menzerna Final Finish PO 85 RE 5 what do they correspont to?

Sorry for all the questions I am a Newbie when it comes to the "More serious" side of detailing.

the numbers are different versions of the product

i wouldnt think you would need the white menz pad on Renault paint, but you would use both those polishes on it

and yes, yellow for final finish, and orange for power finish

Normally I would recommend the Menz Kit 1 for renault owners as suitable for soft - med paint as Menz PO203S can be worked for a log time and produces an LSP ready finish.

The Menz Kit 2 comes with both PO85RD3.02 and PO85RE5. Even though Menzerna quote the same level of cut for both PO203S and PO85RD3.02, PO85RD3.02 can be worked more like a tradional compounding product and works better than PO203S on harder german paints.

If you just looking to remove light washing marks and swirls then PO203S is all you'll need. If your car requires a bit more work or you are after total perfection then the Menz Kit 2 would suit you better.

Here's the specs;

PO85RD3.02
cut=7/10
Gloss=6/10
Removes 2500 grit lines

PO203S
Cut=7/10
Gloss=7/10
Removes 2500 grit lines

PO85RE5
Cut=2/10
Gloss=10/10
Removes 3000 grit lines

PS I forgot to add that all Kestrel stock orders have been put back by one month due to shipping problems from China. This now means I will run out of DAS-6 polishers before my next stock arrives. Based on current sales I will be out by next week. :-(

Thanks for that Matt,I have a couple of RDS i want to try and improve upon that I dont feel a "lower cut" polish will tackle (Plus I want to tackle my sisters pug 106 which at some stage was red and is now pink) Ill get my Order in asap before you run out of Stock
