I fitted hub centric spacers over the weeknd an now get really bad vibratins threw the steering wheel is this normal?
theyve all been torqued to 75nm copper grease on the flat bit that meets the hub an lock tight on the spacer bolts.
let me know what you think

Cheers

Did you clean the hub before mounting spacers?

Needs a good wire brush and clean first.

Na I never in all fairness my mistake will they be ok to drive about on until the weekend?
they havnt come loose or anything just vibrate like mad as if the wheels need balancing.

If there is dirt between the hub and spacer, it won't sit properly. Take spacers off, clean the flanges and refit. Will be fine for temporary driving.

I'd sort it as soon as you can, wouldn't risk wheel falling off.

You should know iirc? ;)

Anyway, OP - it's possible the spacer isn't sitting flush on the hub, it's also possible that your tracking is off or a wheel needs balancing and that's been accentuated by fitting the spacers (unlikely, but possible)

It's also possible you knocked off a wheel weight whilst fitting the spacers, so it'd definitely need balancing.

another thing to check is the brake disc screws. The rear of those spacers is totaly smooth/flat so make sure the screws are not proud of the disc at all

I had this problem, I was stupid enough not to use hub-centric spacers and the because of the width of the spacer the whole weight of the car was on the bolts. I didnt realise and any speed above 50 caused a violent shake. As soon as someone who knew what they were doing explained this to me i removed them!
