"low fuel" limiter?

  Clio 172
Well the correct one are NGK-R PFR6E-10's.

From what I have read no other plugs work properly.

Perfect, will have to go down halfords and see if they have any in stock! Hopefully that does it!

Any specific tools you need to remove them? I read you need a torque wrench, is that true?

I don't think they sell them, probably better off going to a local motor factors.

I have never changed mine so not entirely sure what tools are required.

Tbh the fact that the exhaust pops suggests to me that unburnt fuel is being sent down it, which would point to ignition.

So yeah, try plugs.

I did think this, but at the same time I thought it would be consistent, and not stop soon as the temp gauge is bang on middle. And that it will not go past 5.5ish when it does it, unless its all 4 plugs.

Now Iv thought of it, the car is occasionally a little bit difficult to start. I'll turn the key as normal, and it just turns over quickly, with a little splutter as if it's half igniting, then it will either start after 4-5 seconds or I'll stop, try again and it will start quicker. Normally, after this has happened the idle is very lumpy, and more often than not stalls within a few seconds. Related do we think?

Heres a guide

The need to torque them can be debated at length ! The packet for the NGK plug does tell you how tight to go using just a regular wrench.

Perfect! Thanks a lot, i will have a drive around today and see what we can get!

I got a set of 4 NGKs from ebay, delivered for £35.00. The correct ones, and the R (Platinum) ones.

Right!

Iv changed plugs in the end, found somewhere that did them cheap.

Still hasn't fixed it... What could be next?

Sounds like you're pissing in the wind now, I'd take it to a specialist at this point.

Think I'm gonna have to. It's going to the garage Friday to get the cv joint done, I'll get them to scan it while it's in and see if anything is there, other than that it's gonna have to go to Mick to get the cambelt done anyway
