Low oil pressure in a valver

Is this low oil pressure in a valver?

Is this too low? My oil pressure guage is usually fooked and never moves below 3 bar but occasionally works properly. Then it worries me...

They do go that low sometimes - you arn't moving so probably got no revs - on idle, I think it's pretty normal to drop that low.

no its not too low, but what oil are you using ?........i presume its pretty thin like a 0W-40 ?

id be more worried about the high water temp !........when was that last changed ?

5w40 Elf Excellium - seems fine apart from the pressure, but then the guage is usually stuck at 3 so it could have been doing it for years for all I know... LoL

It is due for a service so coolant should be done soon hopefully - didn't think it was particularly high in the pic though? I had been driving then idling for about 5 minutes so it was just climbing towards the mark it was just below, when the fan then comes in :)

mine never goes above half way, ever

but i have got a low temp fan switch, fresh green coolant, and low temp thermostat, oh and the rads in very good condition too

lol

They do Yoz! :clown:

I think I'll stick with my normal temperature thermostat for winter though - the heater's already feeble enough, never mind if it's not getting as hot! lol
