Lower Air Box (182)

Had my bumper off to fix the splitter on my 182 2day and noticed that the pipe from mian air box up top comes down 2 another air box type thing. Any body know wot it is and where i can can take it off for better ai flow??

That' s not an airbox..it's a valve which alters the length of the intake to the airbox at different engine speeds improving torque.

I would leave it in place unless your going to install an IK (Viper, Maxogen etc.)

I believe Renault call it the 'accoustic valve'. It reduces noise at lower revs also.
