The 13mm bolt to wheel arch has snapped off. Tried drilling and got a snapped bit stuck now.

Is this brace necessary? Can I safely run the car without it?

Isnt there some thread through the other side to get some mole grips on it?
Yes there is, unfortunately I haven't had the chance to get at it. Car is off the road at the moment so no rush.

More of a, can I just save the hassle and run it without?

Mine were broken when I first got the car so its not the end of the world. Not sure how much they actually do but would prefer them obviosuly

It just stiffens the subframe to the rest of the chassis. Over time if you're smashing it up kerbs then you might notice the subframe flexing but other than that it should be sound
