lowering a 16v tortion bar>

has any one done it them selves?, iv been thinking about doing it my self,

i done it on my saxo but the clio seems to be a slightly diffrent set up?

is there a guide anywhere online?

a halfords mechanic could do it mate..........theyd probubly break summit in the process....but they could do it !

go in....ave a go......i mean....if you break somthing then youll only have to get another rear subframe !!!...lol



thread somthing in there...pull it out...cant remember which why to turn it tho....lol i only turned an RT 1 cog & it droped it about 40mm !!! scary !!

do, you lower them by rotating the splines of the tortion bars? or resetting the heigh of the trailing arm to the desired drop then reinserting the tortion bars?

Its actually quite easy to do, you lower the rear by setting the height of the trailing arm & then putting back in the torsion bar - it will only go in one way. Ensure that you hammer the bar back in properly.

To make the bar easier to come out spray the splined ends of the bar with WD-40 or similar a couple of weeks before you plan to lower it & drive the car like this. I re-sprayed the ends of the bar every couple of days & mine came out without any problems.

There is a guide on the site somewhere, but cannot remember where it is. Im sure somebody will post the link or just do a search.
