Lowering + Dampers

hey, I read somewhere the other day that wen ya get new springs to lower your car your supposed to get new dampers aswel. anyones kno if this is wat ur sposed 2 do or just another way of making me spend my hard earned dosh?

Cheers

p.s. Its a mk1

Most people say any lower than 35mm, then yes.. you should get new dampers. Standard ones my bottom out.

Standard ones are ok for 35mm, but they will wear out quicker.

Its always best to get new, uprated shocks if you can!

basically the rule is if ur lowerin sub 40mm then get new shocks OR if u really want it to handle a lot better then get shocks as well but if its jus to lower the height then jus springs will do fine
