Lowering torsion bars *and* spring rate

  '95 Clio Champs Elysees
I've had a read of every torsion bar thread I could find and know how to do it etc.

What I couldn't find is info on how (if at all) the spring rate changes when you lower the car. As you have effectively shortened the suspension travel, is it subsequently stiffer to prevent bottom out?

Yup ^^ all you do when you adjust the torsion bar is adjust the position of the suspension in relation to the body of the car.

how do you lower the torsion bar properly? as a friend of mine is after doing it to his 106.
and is it just springs in front and torsion bar in rear?
