Lowering

  Clio Expression 1.2 16V
I have a Y reg Expression, with the Dynamique alloys on,
how far can it be lowered before I need to buy any extras?

And how much would a garage charge todo it or is it easy, I have a friend who is good with cars.

Most people recommend no more than 40mm before using uprated shocks, others say 60mm on normal shocks didn't effect there ride but it will wear the shocks out quicker.

If your friends good with cars it shouldn't be too bad, just mind and buy spring compressors.

he means be carefull when clamping the springs down with the spring compressor they can be very dangerouse if you dont do them properly. my mate knew someone (knew being the main word) who used an air powered nut runner on them and the spring flew free from the spring clamps and hit him in the face. killed him instantly.
