m reg clio steering play help needed

hi all my wifes clio 1.4rt m reg has a bit of play in steering and its due an mot ive done the track rod ends the play is now from the uj if i put me foot on the bottom of the sterring collom all the play goes my question is where can i just get the uj from ebay no joy and renault will only sell me the whole colom and i dont need the whole thing cheers for any help

Take it to a good garage and they'll weld it up.

if its the uj then u will have to buy a new colum, but have u checked the rubber bushes havent perished?
