M1 - king of roads

  850 T5. mmmm Turbo!

came back from london last night, set off from acton at 8pm, headed for the m1,

i stopped at leicester services, and then went through loughborough to get my mates car,

then headed back to the m1 where i travelled up to j30, i live about 40 miles from here.

i got home at 22:56.

my mpg was 25

my average mpg was 77 including stops!

the clio just goes from strength to strength, and i swear it was quicker than it ever has been on country roads. gotta love the M1.

Motorways are boring (although suddenly more interesting with cruise control).

As a famous Dan once said..the excitement is in the curves!

i bet you lose interest with cruise control within a month i used to love it but now it seems like harder work turning it off and on then just driving without it.not bad if its clear set it to a steady 69mph ;)

Yeah I probably will get bored with it, but Ive never used it before and at the moment it has LOTS of novelty value :D.

When its busy then it takes concentration to use and so I tend to revert to the "old fashion way" with the go pedal. However, in moderate traffic and below its great ... dial in 70 mph and let the car drive itself
