MAJOR RELIABILITY SURVEY

Just a quicky, how many new clio owners inthe first 12 months of ownership have had their cars broken down at the roadside and have had to call the AA??? i was reading a which report the other day, the average figure is about 5% for most manufacturers..... unless you own an Audi TT which is 25%... which puts some of our moans about rattles into perspective a bit!!!

Ive not broken down as such in that the car wouldnt move. But the AA were insistant that if I continued to drive it I could cause it some damage!!! So suppose it counts.

not me - not an immobilising breakdown in 3 years from new with mine :D in fact not a breakdown at all in 3 years, other than the transponder in the key having to be replaced with a new key.

  Not a Clio anymore.....

Had my old Rt for 71/2 years and never broke down once. Only thing ever to go wrong was the clutch gave in around 120k coming off a dual carriageway roundabout but still managed to drive it to a garage no probs. :D Just usual wear and tear apart from that.

Word of warning dont believe a word what Which report whether it be about cars or anything.......weve had dealings with them thats all ill say.

As for my 172 100% reliable so far just the odd rattle and the rear brake pads wearing out at very low miles.

  Ford F-150 5.4 V8

Ive had to have the AA out a total of 4 times in 3000 miles!!! 3 times with the same problem!!

I spoke to a woman at work today - shes got a 1.2 new shape clio and she says that shes literally had to change the wiper blades once and give it a service in the whole 2 years shes had it! That must be a record!

so basically after all the moans and groans that go on about reno build quality etc.. the clio more or less justifies it initial reason to be built i.e. to transport you from A to B!! Moaning about rattles from a french car is like going to spain and complaining its too hot!!!

well mine never actually broke down, but in 8 months of ownership, it was stolen and crashed into a lamppost, writing it off

ah well, i suppose thats one major reliability issue i had

I havent broken down and/or had to call the AA out for about 6 years and I had a clio for 3+ years, so glad I dont have to pay for it.

I did call them out 6 times in a week (twice in the space of 1 day) when I had a sh1tty metro.
