Make a HID/Xenon even brighter

  Mégane RS
Hi everyone, i was wondering how many of you would like your xenons brighter, i brought a HID kit a while back and it was great compared to normal bulbs but now i want them brighter

I was speaking to the company that i brought mine off and apparently they can nearly double your light output without even changing the bulb, this is done by a box/adjuster that increses the watt rating off the bulb from 35W to 50W

This does not affect the life of the bulb niether

I will post some more details on this when i find out more about it, thanks

lol this will reduce the life of the lamp dramatically.

35w of HID is like a 120w halogem lamp anyway so why would you want to make it brighter?

i think mk 2 clio lights are excellent, especially the sporty ones(dual potics). After driving my mums mk1 diesel and they were proper pants!!!. got hose brighter xenon bulbs in mine and everything is much whiter and brighter!!

I just want to see how much brighter they would be, it doesnt affect the life of the bulb at all, xenon bulbs are geared up to run at 70w

this would also increase the initial arc power.which aint a good thing

so there is a good chance that you will end up blowing up the lamp

i don't know who told you this, but it's seriously misleading information

as a quick guide, you raise the power going through anything you reduce it's lifespan, it's simple

if it was geared to run at 70w why don't they run at that standard? they are set-up to run at 35w which is why they run at 35w. as dink says, you also risk blowing the expensive lamps, which for an extra couple of w isn't really worthwhile

standard xenon lights are bright enough already, and still cause other road users inconvenience at the best of times, by making them even brighter you run the risk of causing an accident through the glare of the bulb distracting the oncoming drivers
