Manifold to decat fitting

trying to fit the decat back on, and im finding it hard to connect the decat to manifold

i can get one side on ok but when i try to fit the other side the flange on the decat pulls down on side ive already done, and then i cant get the bolt and spring to fit though and have enough of the thread showing to to do up.

do i just need a g clamp to pull it closer together?

Sounds like some mole grips would help you out on that one!

Get someone to put there foot on the tip and push it forward a bit maybe ?

its a 2 person job...hated putting ma decat on so when it goes for its mot next year its going in the garage to get the sports cat put on

sorry to dig this up! but does someone have a picture of the order in which the parts of the joint go in?!
