Seen you 2 playing it but both as soldiers?!? Most boring class!!! Do it again as you're missing half the fun, soldier class is easiest and least challenge I reckon!

Wicked game though, can't wait for 3.

First two are easily my favourite games out there. Think I completed the first one within a couple of days, just couldn't stop!

Vanguard FTW, normally I go with the soldier class on most games, but biotic/combat is awesome, using lift on an enemy then firing them full of bullets :D

Anyway, can't wait for number 3!

Yeh I had vanguard (if that's the one where you have the charge special ability?)

Only slightly annoying thing about the game, like most, is additional DLC you play as separate missions. For me there is no point doing these "extra" bits as a. don't affect the main story or the larger story (e.g. the outcomes of ME3) and unless you intend goung through the game again all the extra armours and weapons are a bit pointless.

Also those vehicle levels were rubbish!

Lol I didn't know when I was picking..

I'll be replaying it again once completed.. What are the other classes?

AK it's not that soldier class is bad, it's just a bit vanilla I think - the other classes are more tactical. Only one I think is boring (and I've not tried) is the one where your are stealthy.

Have you played the first one too?

More I think about it, this series of just 2 games is the best gaming experience I've ever had.

Not played the first one, turned it on and it horrified me the UI lol, so got rid.

Most folk love Mass Effect 2, I just don't see it as that amazing...

I think you will appreciate ME2 more if you've done the first one....like all RPGs though (or great ones) it comes into it's own once you know the characters and have personalised them all. The story is really great though, even though I didn't get a perfect ending I didn't redo it as think it's more interesting what it will mean in ME3...

The first one is pretty slow to get going though I agree, only gets good once you leave the Citadel and head off into space. You should have stuck with it mate!

What the mercenary guy? He was a bit of an a-hole though.

Also didn't like that alien guy (Thane was it?) whose mission was to rescue his son...accidentally failed it...he died at the end.

But so did my beloved Krogan...he was jokes. And also the possible salvation to his species. May regret letting that happen, but he did have a warriors death.

What I liked about ME2 is that it was such a complete step up from ME1. The original got a little bit tedious for me - literally upgrading each weapon with a +1 over the exact same weapon you had before.

ME2 was a huge leap forward. I've only played it once, straight through to the end and haven't reinstalled it as the one and only experience of it for me was so worth it. I picked the engineer class and used Thane and the Krogan for my end-of-game backup. Worked quite well with Thane long range sniping, me covering the mid-range distances with the assault rifle and the Krogan up close and personal with the shotgun.

The robot geezer (Legion was it?) was the sacrificial lamb for me...

Ah Darren, wish Krogan survived in my game...he was wicked! I also wish I hadn't let the entire council die in ME1 but there you go, it's happened, I won't be going back to change things.

Also hoping my character sleeping with the blue alien woman in the first one then the human in the second one won't bite me but again, c'est la vie!

I thought the biotic people worked best with a gun specialist, I had one guy with the pull and one with concussion blast, was a good combo.

Which DLC is that Plummer? I've not bothered with any of the missions, all the Fallout 3 ones put me off DLC for RPGs....unless they are properly part of the main story like Broken Steel was.

Seen you're level 30 Plummer...you must have been enjoying it sir!

Is it much harder? I did it on the second hardest and it was challenging but not very difficult. To be honest though I play it for the story and characters rather than the combat...although it's pretty good!

Random question...has anyone worked out how to keep your fish alive on the ship? Mine always died the buggers!

MUCH harder, to the point of frustration at some points!!

With the fish, if you can't keep up with feeding them, I'm sure after you take Kelly to dinner she offers to feed them.

Oh I kept chatting to Kelly but she never gave me that option...not sure why. Oh well empty tank it is.

Do you have the space hamster though?!?!

Restarted ME2 and playing as a vanguard (???) I think... Enjoying the game a lot more as I've put it on the 2nd hardest difficulty and it means my battles are lasting longer where on normal they would last 2 secs...

AK...think I did it on vanguard and on verteran difficulty, much more of a challenge. Hope you're enjoying it a bit more now?!?

I didn't like fighting them...Geth are cool I like the big robot suits. Awesome if like me you like giant robots lol.

Do you have accessto any of the free DLC AK? When I played it there was only a limited amount out, seems more guns and armour have become available now?

Aye there's a few DLC that I got for free..

Trip to the old Normandy crash site, what a load of shite! Ran around an empty place picking up dog tags and that was it lol!

Ha yeh that's a bit pointless and I guess only meaningful if you played the first one.

Either way though was quite lame. I don't like the tank levels, WTF are they all about?!
