Mass Storage for mac problem.....

Basically if i delete something off a 8gb memory stick it then says that ive got a total of how ever much ive deleted off, so i have to keep formatting it to get 8gb back?

Is that understandable?

Ok, i took some photos with the camera yesterday, and it has a 4gb card in, so transfered these photos to the macbook and then deleted them, i think there was like 500mb of photos, once ive deleted them and the sd card appears empty it says ive only got 1gb left on the card even though its a 4gb card?

is that better?

With the card still mounted you need to go to the finder menu and select empty trash.

that or format it in disk utility

what ever your deleting you then have to delete from trash. Its a stupid design.
