massive power loss

on the back of my thread last week about the car feeling sluggish and a bit buzzy, Ive been on the motorway for the first time since then, theres no power whatsoever, I put my foot to the floor in 4th gear at 3k rpm, surely enough to get a response, my old 1.2 fiat brava was faster, Im still of the mindset that my exhaust is bunged up, any thoughts, if I went to reno and it was this, the warrenty wouldnt cover it, would I be better going to a cheap garage to let them have a look at it, if they come up with something else then go to reno etc ???? HELP!!!!!!!!!

couldnt you take it down to kwik-fit and ask them to do a check? they do it for free usually dont they?

if ur car aint that old Id go to Renault. Especially if it under warrenty. I had a big problem with Ford about my zorst, but my arguement was that a 1year old car should not have "wear and tear" on this item if it was built to proper standards.

No I think he said some kids might have stuff something up the exhaust. Take it to kwik-fit or something if they will do a free check, failing that take it to renault.

Can you get a digital camera up your exhaust and take a pic so we can have a look?

Or take it to a garage.

the motors only 8 weeks old, I have driven very carefully as well etc... Im off to ATS 2 morrow for a free check , then its off 3 RENO with a big stick!!!

unless your cat converter has fell apart and the bits have gone down the exhaust i cant see what could have blocked your exhaust up.if it was that blocked it would choke itself up anyway and cut out.
