Megane 05 airbag warning light

Hoping CS could give me any pointers on this

Not exactly a Clio i know, but i know alot of you guys have RS meganes etc so i was wondering.

My mate has an 05 megane cabriolet and its failed MOT on the airbag warning light being on. Ive advised him on getting it on a reader, but i was wondering if there was anything i could go over and check for him incase its an easy/common fault.

Check the connections under the front seats, the airbag wires should be orange in colour (insulation) just unplug and re-connect the connectors, common issue for contact resistance, poor contact to cause the light to come on. Same thing happened on mine.

Cool cheers mate. Do you have to remove the seat to get to the connectors or can they be reached from under?
