megane 225 injectors on Clio 172

Hi All,

How do they work on Clio 172? I checked the std one's on my car are running at 91 % injection duty cycle at high RPM's. Car is not std and running on cams btw.

91% should be fine tbh, they don't fail very often and the meggy injectors will overfuel like crazy without the car being mapped to suit.

They do fit/work but they're only really used for boosted applications as the capacity just isn't required.

Yep I am well aware of the need of remap. Henk from Fastchip is the guy to visit. He is the ultimate RS Guru on the planet.

I have read around that 80 % and over IDC is not very healthy but again it might depend on the engine and/or injector type.

if it's mapped and hitting 91% on just a few load sites I'd leave it. Not likely to cause a problem unless they're running high duty for sustained time.

Yep it hits 91 % after 7000 rpm and it is remapped by Henk. I am extremely happy with the map by the way.

it was mentioned in a previous post on CS, though not remembering who said that, that the meggy RS injectors have nice flow pattern.

I sourced a full set at a very decent price so that's why I am thinking about putting them in.

no worse that picos (standard) for failure and they're an amazing injector. Too big for a standard enigne though really, though they are VERY controllable

i would keep your 172 injectors going untill they begin to fail (if/when ever ..). Then you could always trie the Meg ones ?

You shouldn't really be revving it over 7k much on a standard lump anyway power dies off way before that, nothings broke so don't fix it imo.

Tuners on here are all raving about them as the spray pattern is meant to be amazing

I have the sam problem only worse. Discovered today that my IDC is maxing out on 97,5%... not good at all. This on a stock engine with RS tuner generic map, inlet and exhaust mods.

Cams are going in so I must have bigger injectors. How much does the Megane 225 injectors flow?
