Megane coupe 2.0 16v coilover help needed

  megane
Hi
I need a bit of help. I have a megane which I want to buy front coilovers for and I have the stupid different 60mm offset bolt holes. does anyone know if the clio 172 coilovers can be fitted as the look the same shape??
Thanks in advance

The 60mm is the distance between the centre of the boltholes. the top hole is closer to the body than the bottom hole.
it should be an f7r hub and shock but I think most kits cater for 1.6 models despite advertising 2.0 16v

Where would I het 1.6 hubs? and would the driveshaft and steering rack still fit.
I could use the 172 kit if I knew the measurements as I will be widening the track by 2 or 3 inches and using adjustable camber caster top mounts.

Where have you got the top mounts from?

I think I have 1.6 hubs somewhere. Pretty sure they're all compatible. Driveshaft would be questionable though

Im going to either order some universal ones or Gaz do some for a bmw e30 on ebay. Ill be making all new strut tops anyway so I can use any top mounts as long as the shaft fits into the pillow ball..

Ill get the meqasurements from gaz on the clio ones.
Ive got some spax on my watch list. gotta ring them tomorrow to see if they are the 60mm ones as it says for 99 2.0 16v coupe

They're not cheap. I paid £1200 for them, but I don't expect to get that much for them.

As for refurb, there's bound to be some company's that can do it.

This is not cheap stuff though. Proper race stuff

Yeah i expected that lol. Way out of my budget but maybe at a later day.
Cheers anyway
Been looking at clio cup fronts as they have 60mm bolt space but cant find the distance from holes to strut casings. I reckon they will work

Well what's your budget? I'd like to get rid of them and see them be used rather than sat in a box in my garage.
They're adjustable camber too so may be able to fit them on either bolt spacing.

Trouble with going with clio ones your fitting something that wasn't made to fit so you could be altering castor/camber angles etc.

It's only a shock, any company that specialises in them would sort you out.

Can't imagine gaz ones will be cheap tbh
