Megane r26 engine block - mising part?

Guys,

I am in the process of building my r26 engine back up, but there appears to be a part missing, any ideas what goes in the red circled hole?

It must be press fit as the hole is not threaded? Any ideas?

Does the hole go though to the water ways, because doesn't the water pump outlet run in front of where the hole is?

Maybe a locating / support lug for the alt bracket

Yeah this hole sits behind the coolant pipe, that bolts in just above it

I'll have to double check but pretty sure it goes into a water / oil way.

Mystery solved.

Its a metal insert and core plug / cap that goes in the hole.
