Thats a bullsh*t excuse mate tbh, and one Im bored of. How about the V6? Or any other lowish car for that matter?

  Clio v6

Any lowish car they would be very careful with. The V6 MK1 has the splitter put on at PDI.

Write to Renault and ask if you are bored with reasonable opinions.

Ooh get her!

I didt mean I thought your post was boring, I meant I was bored of hearing why they dont fit them. The excuse is boring. The Clio isnt anywahere near low enough to warrant it. There are far lower cars with far lower splitters that get deliverd on the same transporters as a Clio 182. The real reason is that they cant be arsed to fit them at the docks. Dealers get lazy and cars get delivered minus a splitter. Its shoddy and it sucks...the official excuse is boring.

I drove Andys 172 a few months back.... and yes it was quick.... but it wasnt as quick as i expected..

Gave the 182 cup a go today... and yep... its quick... but i expected it to be quicker....... Gave ya a nice smile on ya face.... but i think the novelty of a 182 would wear off very easily...........

Sadly Roy - the official excuse means Renault wont have to replace lots of splitters on lots of 182s and 182 Cups. And since the part is expensive at £130 odd.. its really not their problem.

Besides... it only takes a few mins to fix when you get your Clio home. Its all part of "getting to know your car" :D

OK so if its official policy not to fit the splitters, Renault should ensure that ALL dealers do on ALL cars where the customer paid for the splitter. The reasons why the splitter get missed is not the point in my opinion. The customer is the end user, and their car shouldnt come in kit form because some r****d forgot to fit the splitter. Just my view :)

the V6 is transported on a different trailer isnt it? well im sure someone said that anyway.

I said it was worth a pound (a guess) i.e. to Renault ;)

Anyway its a moot point, it should fitted before the customer gets the car, regardless of whether its done at the factory, by the dealer, or by magic pixies.
