Ah right thanks, was just what i saw in halfords. Sooo many diffferent products :L

Car needs a really do detail, just need a good abrasive polish to remove the light scratchs and a good wax to protect it then i can get the rest sorted and get it done!

Looked at the Collinite 845 Insulator Wax?

Dont think you can fault megs on there products personally i like to research into different products but if you dont have the time and dont fancy waiting for delievery then go for it. Most of megs and autogylm's products meet the standards. If your ordering online i would deffently look into different products though.

I use collinite 845 insulator and love it. Shake the bottle well before use. It looks really thick and chunky but if you shake it it's almost liquid

Make a note of the prices of all these products in Halfords then have a look on the likes of the following to see all the products they supply, most have reviews against them. often you can get better products or more of a product for better money.

i4detailing
cleanyourcar
Monzacarcare

  Not a 320d
Shampoo Plus from Cleanyourcar or I4Detailing, Halfrauds grey washmitt, i4detailing yellow plush ultra big boy towel £10 each. A sealant thats hardwearing and easy to use to begin with if your new to the game which you are. Something to clean your wheels with. A bar of Sonus grey clay/use shampoo/water in a sprayer as clay lube. Foam applicator pad for Wax/Sealant, Microfibre cloths to remove wax/sealant. A Bucket. Job done.

Usually I wont reccomend FK1000p for anything other than door shuts but to begin with its good, cheap, its good on silver, simple one step product (no pre cleaners required), lasts a while. Just wash the car, clay it, dry it and then dry off. Apply FK one pannel at a time and remove when its ready. Simples.

Dont get dragged into the self indulgent game of car detailing. Ive tried a lot of products over 4-5 years and ive found ive gone back to the ones people reccomended me in the first place.

Their APC, de-greaser and a lot of other stuff is really good, that list however is not.

By what you've put so far, Jay, I take it you are looking for wash, dry, clay, polish and wax suggestions?

Looking for a good cut polish, been using ag srp which is great but it needs a good de-swirl

  White clique
In truth getting swirls out by hand is very difficult, you might be better off with a polish containing a filler (like SRP). There will be better out there for sure, i use Poorboys Black Hole for my black car, not sure what product you can use on silver.

Collinite is good BTW as per the previous post, i use 915 marque d'elegance and its great.

By hand or machine fella?

any recomendations?

If it's Clio paint I would suggest, as always, 203s with a LCC hand cut pad. Found here;

http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/lake-country-light-cut-hand-pad-cat24.html#aMasterLCHO0000

But as Alan has said, results by hand will require time and patience and might not come as easily as by machine, due to the heat required.

It will be by hand, dont think its soo bad that it needs a machine polish but i can always see after abit of hard work.

Thanks for the recomendation will look into it! :D
