Mexican Clio "Trophy"

I think you know this version of CS II. In Mexico there are several CS "Team" and this unique version called "Trophy" in Mexico...It is a "False Trophy" ....Is similar a Team, but blue with white stripes and Recaro seats...was a limited edition, only 50 units.....I would like to have one in Argentina

you're right it is like a normal 182 with recaros, it has the cup spoiler not the v6of the original trophy!!

It's the same as the Australian F1 Edition except for the Recaros and Turinis!

well, you maybe right, i own the 31/50, i mean, just 50 not 500 like other european editions, that´s what it counts........... :rasp:

500 were UK only. then 50 were produced for the rest of the world, mainly swiss buyers iirc.

You could spec the recaro's from the factory though couldn't you? not sure if you could the stripes though.

Nice car! It doesn't matter if it's a "Mexican" trophy or an "European" trophy, it's always gonna be a trophy and in Mexico it's gona be a classic in a couple years.

Renault sold Clio Sport throughout the world for our fortune in Mexico call an edition Clio Sport "Trophy Edition", which produced 50 including Recaro seats, remembrance lines to Renault Gordini engine and a 182 clio Team in a blue called Imola. Do not know if it was or not sales strategy for Renault, however, only 50 lucky in this country so they could purchase one of which I am very proud to own the number 3 / 50, here's some photos of the "Mexican Trophy"

I used to own the 13th; and, as much as the british community don't like it, it is as exclusive, if not more, than the 500 samples edition UK got, and as equally rare as the 50 left hand drive samples for the swiss market. whether or not it had the sachs suspension it really doesn't matter, only 50 were made to Renault of Mexico specs and they are even rarer now a days as many have been killed or broken, and very few are still well preserved. Already a classic this side of the Atlantic.
