Mice and the 172 do not mix well

Well what a great start to the new year.

Went out in the Car on tuesday noticed that the ABS, Traction Control and service light and also the windscreen washers were not working.

Took it into Renault, however nobody available on Tuesday.

So i had a look when we got home only to find numerous wires had been cut or chewed through and also the washer line cut.

Was taken into Renault today, only to find out that a fooking MOUSE has got into the engine bay chewed through the wires and the washer line, also the heater pipe and the washer bottle, but they cannot be 100% sure if that is the only damage.

Today is costing us £170 for the ABS and Traction control wires and also the washer line to be replaced, but we should get a full costing of the rest of the work by the end of the day

So just a word of warning, if you get any warning lights come up, just check to see if any vermin have had an attack of the munchies

FECK!!! I've also got mice in my garage and nowhere else to leave the Cup! Plenty of posion down though!

Well we do not even know if the mouse is still in there or not, however the garage maybe able to shed some light on that matter.

I will let you all know the final outcome and cost, i just hope it aint got to the loom, otherwise that is going to be very pricey and not good if the wedding is coming up

My mate found a huge amount of nuts in his engine bay last year - turned out to be from a squirrel! Luckily no damage was caused in his case though.

Well got the car back yesterday night, have repaired and replaced the wires for the ABS and Traction control, also the washer bottle and washer lines, and only came to £160, all in plus we had a nice clean car inside and out.

However the car is being booked in for further work as they have found something chewed on what they call a

Recycling Motor Circuit??

Anyone heard of this part before

OMG...the little s**t

This has got me a bit worried now....my car is kept in a garage where I know there are mice around.

Better send in my cat!

  Shhh
I chased one of them into the fire. We tried to catch it, but it could not be done. So we then took the bottom off the coal fire, and it ran into it...

lol...

bye bye mr mouse...

Same sort of thing happened to me when I took my six month old Honda VTR out of winter storage, and found I had only half a seat left.
