there is still a chance that olddomain.ltd.uk will show in reference if it is in the hostname of the Exchange server, as the hostname of mailservers always shows in the headers of mail that moves through them.
I have checked the hostname by looking at
(Where ServerName is the hostname of the server)c:\program files\ExchSrv\ServerName.log
And it doesn't say olddomain.log...
