Mileage discrepancy

Hi, this is my first post here.

I’ve recently bought a 182 that in its last MOT a year ago had 168k “miles” and has had a normal buildup of miles in the MOTs before that. Now it says 108k. 168k km is 104k miles and i know it’s been driven probably 4k miles in a year.

I’m wondering if in MOTs past it’s been reading KMs as surely even the boldest mileage rollback wouldn’t be 60k miles

Would anyone know anything about if 182s came displaying KMs or could have at all.

The only thing I can think is it went to Japan, converted to KM then was re-imported.

Without any paperwork to back that theory up tho, it's just another clocked car.

As far as im aware uk dials cant be changed to kmh, it will have been clocked or dials changed to another set due to them going wrong
