Milltek full 172 system...

Car  1998 BMW e46 323i
I'm tempted to buy the above, but at £700 it's a whole lotta moolah. I've got an original exhaust on just now, well pattern cat, rear and original centre. This is only a couple of years old at best. It has never sounded good, and right now sounds w**k. Not blowing, but sounds like it is...

So, should I fork out all this moolah? I aint no boy racer, I'm after a 'nice' subtle sound when commuting, but a proper exhaust note when revving the b****cks off.

The cat I've got now is I think just made from thin grade steel, and while there's nothing wrong, if I'm going to replace the exhaust I think I'll replace it all.

Any advice please? And sorry for the flaming essay.

sorry skimmed past the cat part, cheaper option is the decat of course;), maybe get it through mots with the one you have.

Think I'll be getting a Longlife full system for about £500 fitted; getting a milltek seems too pricey just now and the fit, from what I've read aint always great.

Waiting for longlife to fit me in. Anyone already got one?

Get a decat and just use your cat now for MOT as above. or buy a 2nd hand cat.
