Milwaukee sub impact wrench

Just picked myself up one of these https://www.toolstation.com/shop/p50505?table=no very cheap considering most places are still selling at the £100 mark. My mate has one and it's perfect for most jobs, rated up to 130Nm so good enough for removing wheels.

Picked up a M12/18 charger and battery from amazon so in total £115, and no need to buy a charger for any M18 units.

nice price, but why the 3/8 and not the 1/2?

I just want this for day to day jobs and I'm going to get a more powerful impact gun which will be 1/2 drive. I know I could just use a step down but one of the main reason I like the sub impacts is due to them being small and using a step down just adds extra length haha.

I have this one, it's very handy for small jobs. Really light compared to my 1/2" gun. If you're using it a lot I'd say to get 2 batteries as the 2mah battery can run out quite quick.

I picked up a Makita 1/4 drive impact driver off Amazon last week. As I already have a drill with 2 batteries and a charger it only cost me £55. 160nm too, and I've tested it on the wheel bolts, and it easily get's them to 125-130NM.

Great tool to have!

Thanks for this. Picked mine up today.
Also got two batteries on the way from amazon which are £20 each. @bashracing you have something similar don't you and I remember that being very handy when we fitted the seats/cage at my parents a few years back?

Having a sit down wee so I could open it as I was too excited earlier on.

Would be interested to hear your opinions on this after using it mate.

I've always stuck with Makita for my impact drivers/buzz guns and never given Milwaukee a thought.

Yeah I have the same one Dan, I mostly use it to run up bolts or long studded nuts before final torque up, also handy for removing bell housing bolts (once you've cracked them off) or in any bolts in tight spaces due to it's compact size.

Regret not getting the battery and charger on prime delivered today. Got a long wait until Wednesday and there are random things that need torquing and not undoing!

Will this remove wheel bolts out of interest?

Bought this a few weeks ago off amazon for £48, too good to be true seller was a fake, going to buy at £66 body only when the money is back. I think its the lowest torque in the range at 190nm but I have the 18v 3ah x2 drill kit so this seems like a good buy to speed things up.

I'm thinking of getting this one, as I already have a Makita drill and charging station. Presume the batteries are all interchangeable?

Yep the slide batteries are interchangeable I believe.

Also I didnt word it very well but will the milwaukee buzz wheel nuts off? looks like a great bit of kit, same sort of size as the 10.8v makitas ? they are so handy.

I ended up buying the drill and impact driver for £175 as it came with 2 batteries one being a 4ah and charger was supposed to be £250.

Been using mine loads the past weekend and the one before. Speeds up so many jobs. I can't believe I didn't get one sooner.

With it having such a small form factor it's fantastic for getting into little places and with it being so light it's fine to hold for a while.
