Mini’s - hairdressers cars

sorry about the spelling. my cooper s cost 17k approx and had nearly everything apart from sat nav but now i am just splitting hairs. one thing i will say though is that my 182 has gone to the dealership for one reason or another 6 times. my mini never went in apart from the free service. thats just me though and i know every car is different. i love my clio and am very happy with it but think its silly to slate another quality car. if we were saying something bad about fiestas however........... oh dont get me started on them.

lol, all im saying is i had experience of thousands of the things not just the one you owned. Not picking an arguement or disputing the fact yours may have been fine but from my vast experience of thousands of them im under no illusion of the quality of them.

Just playing devils advocate. Your point that "in Edinburgh the Cooper S guise is everywhere and the guys that drive them think they look cool with their shades - poncy haircuts etc. while looking at the clio thinking they are in the better faster car ????" I drive a 172, wear sunglasses at every oppurtunity and style my hair, what does that make me?

A gay suntanning dogger ? :p

I own a 182 and the wife owns a Cooper S. Id prefer mine anyday - the Cooper S is a poor-mans poser version of the TT - its not what the car can do thats important, its the badge and what the car actually is that means the world to most people. My wife loved it initially but shes wanting to change it because of all the issues shes had with it - its only got 22k on the clock. So long as she doesnt consider a Golf GTi, Ill be happy.....

Ill go on their forum in a bit and post my own, personal, response..... :)

But that is the point - mini drivers tend to be girls and all they are concerned about is the way they and the car looks - clio drivers buy the car for the performance and thrill.

If you drive a mini you look like a tw*t - im sorry but that is that and there aint going to be no changing it. Its not English, its not cool, its not clever and its for girls (its a re-moddled Golf GTI, THE sh*t ONE) They are over priced, and slow as sh*t (i had a cooper S in my bloody valver)
Don’t be so stereotypical I’m female, so is my sister and mum and we all have RS Clio’s, firstly for the performance and price and secondly for the looks, as many female and male Clio owners on here have too.

I test drove a Mini Works for the same reasons (performance and looks), fantastic car but not worth 20k IMO and they are built in the UK
