Minimum Wheel Size 172

As title really, would some 14 or 15" steels from a lower spec Clio fit on my 172?

15s i think are the smallest i think any smaller will foul on the brakes

I don't know of any 14" wheel that fits over the lucas calipers. But both the 6 x 15" et43 renault wheels I've tried do (Megane steels and clio 'allium' alloys).

14" steels should fit the 172 brakes, a lot of other make cars running 260 brake setups run 14 steels as std!!!
When I change my wheels ill slap my 172 hub and caliper inside the 14" clio steel and check clearance and take a pic for you...

14s will fit if you smash them on but wheels wont turn lol.... (found that out on a old car where incorrect spare was in car lol)
15s steels will fit.....
