minor work on 182 suspension...help



  inferno rs 182
totally devestated only had my 182 2 days and had a fall out with a few kerbs. looks like am changing the the front wishbone, anti roll-bar track rod end and popping the drive shaft back in. all nearside.

just wondered if any1 had any pointers for me. any advice would be great
 
Get the correct torque settings, renew any nuts/bolts you are replacing and then get the alignment checked/adjusted by a decent alignment centre with a laser geometry ramp.
 
Check your subframe as well whilst your at it as this can bend easily. Also check struts etc for damage just incase.
Which side did you damage as this can affect how difficult fixing the driveshaft is.
I'll post the torque values up later.
 
Driveshaft retaining nut 280NM this should be replaced ever time as its a self locking one I've never bothered as I'm stupid and cheap I just use thread locking compound with no problems but for £2 or so its not worth risking it probably.
Wheel nuts (holding the wheel on) 90NM
The nut which holds the stearing arm onto the hub 37NM (known as the track rod end balljoint retaining nut)
The two nuts holding the hub to the strut should be done to 105NM
The bolt which holds the lower ball joints into the hub needs to be tight to 55NM
The two bolts which hold the lower ball joint to the suspension arm should be tigthened to 75NM
Stearing rack ends need to be tigthened to either 50Nm (for SMI gear assembly) or 80NM for TRW assembly.
The suspension arm to subframe bolts 90NM.
The bolt to hold the anti roll bar to the suspension arm 15NM
The bolt/nut which is used to hold the anti roll bar (encased in the rubber bush) 30NM.
Personaly I put locking thread on all the nuts and bolts regardless.
